Yoga is spreading across Kenya, where, thanks to the non-profit Africa Yoga Project, the classes are free even in the poorest communities.
Description
A lot of movie stars and young Americans are really into yoga. But so are young men and women in the slums of Kenya.
When post-election violence broke out in Kenya in 2007, yoga became an instrument of change and healing among the differing tribes. Today, the Africa Yoga Project serves about 2,000 budding yogis in several slums, schools, clinics, and two prisons.
